Product Description

The Nova Solvers Central Avionics Systemis a fully integrated spacecraft avionics subsystem developed as part of the Nova Solvers Common Avionics Platform. It combines flight computing, mission data processing, deterministic system supervision, positioning, navigation and timing, and analog interface capabilities within a single modular architecture, simplifying spacecraft integration while providing a scalable solution for a broad range of mission requirements.

The baseline configuration integrates a Flight Computer / Mission Data Processor, System Controller, Positioning, Navigation & Timing Module, and Analog Interface Card within a common modular VPX chassis, providing a complete spacecraft avionics subsystem. The modular architecture enables additional computing, interface, and mission-specific modules to be incorporated as mission requirements evolve while maintaining a common hardware and software architecture.

Built around a standardized 3U VPX architecture, the Central Avionics System provides a common platform for spacecraft command and data handling, payload processing, subsystem management, navigation, timing, communications, and mission operations. The modular design reduces system integration effort, simplifies future upgrades, and enables hardware reuse across multiple spacecraft programs.

A custom chassis and integrated heat frame provide efficient conductive thermal management and a robust mechanical interface for spacecraft integration.

Designed for harsh launch and space environments, the Central Avionics Stack is engineered to withstand vibration, shock, vacuum, radiation, and thermal cycling while supporting long-duration missions in LEO, MEO, GEO, cislunar, and deep-space environments.
